Agency Shield:
Scale Your Agency Without
Accumulating Compliance Risk

Agency Shield is TextingOnly’s subgroup architecture that completely isolates each client’s 10DLC registration, compliance record, and sending infrastructure from every other client on the account. One client’s issue stays with that client. Every other account keeps running.

Agency Shield Compliance Isolation 10DLC Agency Plan
The Problem On most SMS platforms, all agency clients share sending infrastructure. One client’s spam complaint or 10DLC violation can shadow-ban every other client on the account β€” Client A damages Clients B, C, D, and E.
The Shield Each TextingOnly client gets their own isolated subgroup β€” separate 10DLC brand registration, campaign registration, sending number, compliance record, and sending reputation. Nothing bleeds across.
What You Keep One agency dashboard. Unlimited client subgroups. Role-based access control. Full reporting per client. The control of one platform without the shared risk of one account.

Agency Shield is the infrastructure reason to choose TextingOnly over any other SMS platform for agency or multi-client work. It’s not a feature β€” it’s the architecture. Understanding it is understanding how TextingOnly is built differently for agencies.

The Problem Agency Shield Solves

Most SMS platforms operate on a shared infrastructure model. All clients under an agency account use the same sending pool, the same 10DLC registrations, and accumulate on the same compliance record. This creates a fundamental structural risk for agencies:

Shared Infrastructure (most platforms)
Agency Shield (TextingOnly)
βœ—One 10DLC brand registration for all clients
βœ“Separate 10DLC brand registration per client
βœ—One sending reputation shared across all accounts
βœ“Isolated sending reputation per subgroup
βœ—Client A spam complaint β†’ deliverability hit for B, C, D, E
βœ“Client A issue stays with Client A β€” others unaffected
βœ—One carrier flag can affect the entire agency book
βœ“Carrier flags are scoped to the individual client subgroup
βœ—Compliance violations accumulate on one record
βœ“Each client builds and maintains their own compliance record
⚠️ Why this matters at scale

As your agency grows from 5 clients to 20 to 50, the compliance risk on shared infrastructure compounds. One high-volume client with poor list hygiene or aggressive messaging can quietly degrade deliverability for every other client you manage. With Agency Shield, growth doesn’t accumulate risk β€” each new client adds capability without adding exposure.

How Agency Shield Works

Every client you onboard in TextingOnly is placed in their own isolated subgroup. Isolation is complete across every layer of the SMS infrastructure stack:

πŸ“‹
10DLC Brand Registration

Each client subgroup has its own 10DLC brand registration tied to that client’s legal business identity. Their EIN, their business name, their brand record β€” completely separate from every other client.

πŸ“Š
10DLC Campaign Registration

Each client’s use case (marketing, lead generation, notifications) is registered separately on their own campaign registration. Different clients with different use cases don’t share campaign records.

πŸ“±
Dedicated Sending Number

Each client gets their own phone number β€” local area code, their own sending reputation, their own carrier relationship. No number pooling with other clients.

πŸ“ˆ
Sending Reputation

Delivery rates, spam complaints, opt-out rates, and carrier trust scores build per client, per number. A client who runs clean campaigns builds strong reputation. A client with issues only affects their own.

βš–οΈ
Compliance Record

TCPA consent records, opt-out handling logs, and carrier compliance history are maintained per subgroup. Client A’s compliance record is Client A’s β€” it doesn’t touch Client B’s.

πŸ“Š
Reporting & Data

Every report, contact record, list, campaign, and collector in a subgroup belongs exclusively to that subgroup. Client data is never visible to other subgroups.

Role-Based Access Control

Agency Shield’s isolation also applies to access. You control who sees what across the entire account structure:

🏒
Agency Admin (Master Account)
Full access to all subgroups β€” switch between client accounts, manage billing, create and delete subgroups, configure access for all users. Billing is locked to this level.
πŸ‘₯
Team Member Access
Agency team members can be granted access to specific subgroups with specific feature permissions β€” conversations, campaigns, reports β€” without access to other clients or billing.
πŸ‘οΈ
Client View Access
Clients can be granted view-only access to their own subgroup β€” their reports, their lead data, their campaign results. They see only their data. They can’t edit, create, or access other subgroups.
βœ“
Billing stays locked at agency level
Client view access never exposes billing information. Clients see their campaign performance, not what you’re paying for the platform.
βœ“ Agency best practice

Grant clients view-only access to their own reporting from day one. Clients who can see their own lead volume, geo data, and engagement funnels in real time need fewer status update calls β€” and are more likely to renew the retainer because they see the numbers themselves.

Onboarding a New Client with Agency Shield

1
Create a new subgroup for the client
Subgroups β†’ Create Subgroup β†’ name it by client or location. Isolated workspace is active immediately.
2
Add a Campaign number with the client’s local area code
Numbers β†’ Add Number β†’ select Campaign type β†’ client’s market area code. This number belongs only to this subgroup.
3
Start 10DLC registration with the client’s business information
Their EIN, legal business name, website, use case. Their registration. Their compliance record. Start immediately β€” approval takes 5–15 business days.
4
Build the client’s collector(s) within the subgroup
ITR, Custom Questions, or whichever collector type matches the client’s use case. SmartLinks and QR codes generate automatically.
5
Deploy entry points and confirm OTTO flow with the client
Tap the SmartLink together β€” walk the client through the full five-stage flow so they know what their customers experience.
βœ“
Grant client view access and set up reporting cadence
Client can log in to see their own data. Schedule a monthly review call to walk through funnel reports, geo data, and campaign performance.

Pitching Agency Shield to Prospects

When a prospect asks why TextingOnly vs any other SMS platform for their agency, Agency Shield is the structural answer:

“Every client you add to most SMS platforms adds compliance risk to every client you already have. TextingOnly is the only platform where your clients are structurally isolated β€” their compliance record is theirs, their sending reputation is theirs, their 10DLC registration is theirs. You scale the book without scaling the risk.”

The positioning line that comes directly from the architecture: “Scale your agency without accumulating compliance risk.”
