Mobile intent pages. Route each contact to the right conversation.

An interstitial page appears after a SmartLink tap or QR scan and before the text message opens. The contact chooses a path such as requesting a quote, scheduling service, or contacting support. That choice is written into the prefilled SMS message, so OTTO can begin with the right workflow.

Use the page to add brand context, capture declared intent, and route the conversation without asking the contact to repeat why they reached out.

How the interstitial works
Tap → Choose Path → Opt In.
OTTO runs your play.

The interstitial appears before the conversation begins. The contact sees a branded page, chooses a path, and that selection pre-fills the SMS message. After the contact sends it, OTTO starts the workflow connected to that path.

1

Scan or tap. The branded page opens.

A QR code, direct-mail piece, website button, or social link opens the branded interstitial page in the mobile browser. No app or account is required. Available campaign, device, timestamp, and location signals can be recorded at page load.

2

The contact chooses a path.

Your logo, brand colors, and up to four intent options appear on one page. The contact selects the option that matches their reason for reaching out. That choice is written into the pre-filled SMS message.

3

The pre-filled SMS is ready to send.

The native Messages app opens with the intent already written: “Hi, I’d like to schedule a service appointment.” The contact taps Send, creating a recorded, consumer-initiated opt-in before OTTO responds.

OTTO starts the configured workflow.

The intent is already known. OTTO routes Schedule Service to an appointment collector and Get a Quote to a qualification ITR. The contact does not need to explain why they reached out a second time.

Intent first The contact declares intent before the conversation begins, so OTTO knows which workflow to run.

Schedule Service flow · no routing questions
One system · three moving parts
The interstitial is Step 2
in a three-part sequence.

Most SMS tools start with the conversation. TextingOnly starts with the entry point. By the time the conversation begins, your team can know who reached out, what they want, and which campaign brought them in.

Step 1
SmartLink
A QR code or link gets the click. Available campaign, device, and location signals are recorded at page load. Mobile opens the interstitial; desktop displays a QR bridge. One URL supports both.

Intent paths · your choice
Each path routes to
its own OTTO flow.

Configure the intent options that match your business on one interstitial page. Each path has its own icon, label, pre-filled message, and OTTO workflow. One page can support several reasons for contact.

💰
Path Option
Get a Quote
“Hi, I’d like to get a quote.”
OTTO starts the qualification ITR (Interactive Text Response) to collect service type, timeline, and location. Sales receives a Prepare Caller alert with that context.
📅
Path Option
Schedule Service
“Hi, I’d like to schedule a service appointment.”
An appointment data collector gathers service type, availability, and name. The next step can provide a calendar link or send a Prepare Caller alert to the operations team.
Path Option
Leave a Review
OTTO asks for a rating first.
4–5 star contacts get the Google review link. Lower ratings route to internal feedback. Lower ratings can be routed to internal feedback before a public review request is shown. No staff involvement until needed.
💬
Path Option
Contact Support
“Hi, I need help with my account.”
OTTO collects issue type and routes to the right support team. Rep gets a prepped ticket with full context before they respond.

Configure the interstitial as a language selector. Contact picks English, Español, Français. Pre-filled opt-in reflects their language. OTTO fires the configured Language Funnel.

Device-aware mobile page and desktop QR bridge
Mobile visitors see the branded interstitial. Desktop visitors see a QR code bridge they can scan to continue on a phone. One SmartLink URL supports both experiences.
03
Update without reprinting QR codes or changing SmartLinks
The QR code on your truck wrap, table tent, or postcard never changes. Update intent options, swap campaign paths, or rebrand from the dashboard. All scans show the updated page. Learn more about Dynamic QR Codes →
04
Attribution fires at page load
When the page loads, available signals may include city or region, timestamp, and campaign source. The selected path remains connected to the QR placement or SmartLink source. See Attribution Reporting →
05
Clone across locations and manage updates
Build the interstitial template once. Clone it across each location from the agency dashboard. Each location gets its own branded page with its own OTTO flow routing. Bulk edit intent options across 50 locations simultaneously.
06
Consumer-initiated opt-in record
The contact sends the first message from their native Messages app. The system records the timestamp, mobile number, intent selection, and entry-point source. Campaign setup should still follow applicable consent and 10DLC (10-digit long code) requirements.

📄
What is an interstitial publishing page?
An interstitial page is a branded mobile landing page between a QR code scan and the SMS opt-in. It shows options such as language, service type, or campaign path, then routes the contact into the OTTO workflow connected to that selection.
🌐
How do language funnels work?
One QR code can present a language-selection page. The contact chooses a supported language, and OTTO runs the configured qualification workflow in that language. The internal lead alert can be delivered to your team in English.
⚙️
What self-segmentation paths are possible?
An interstitial page can route contacts by service type, location, inquiry type, or another path you configure. Each path can feed a separate OTTO workflow with its own qualification sequence and attribution record.
🔒
How is the interstitial opt-in recorded?
After selecting a path, the contact sends the first SMS message from their own device. This creates a timestamped, consumer-initiated opt-in record tied to the entry-point source. Campaign language and follow-up practices must still meet applicable requirements.
